John has been selected as the Labour Candidate for the Heaton & Lostock Ward of Bolton Council in the May 2012 Local Election

Heaton & Lostock is one of the 20 wards of Bolton Metropolitan Borough, encompassing Heaton and Lostock, as its name suggests, but also Ladybridge and the parts of Deane to the north of Wigan Road. It's one of the most easterly wards of the Bolton West Parliamentary Constituency.

In the May 2010 General Election Labour's Julie Hilling retained Bolton West, former Cabinet Minister Ruth Kelly's seat, with a majority of just 92 votes.

Unfortunately Heaton & Lostock is also the safest Tory ward in Bolton. But, with your help, I believe that we can change that!
